Southern African Development Community (SADC):
ISI provided a year-long CNS/ATM study of the 14-nation SADC for the region’s Southern Africa Transport and Communications Commission. Our report recommended the region follow a unified critical path to modernize and integrate existing navigation systems. ISI’s recommendations were adopted as policy in April 2000 at the region’s biannual Civil Aviation Committee meeting in Mauritius.
Venezuela:
ISI’s CNS/ATM study for Venezuela integrated examination of existing radar, navigation, communications, and ATM infrastructure elements. Based on current systems and future system requirements, ISI used a net-present value financial analysis approach to identify the most cost-effective transition means to attain system modernization.
Colombia:
This CNS/ATM Transition Plan feasibility study is intended to provide Colombia’s UAEAC with a practical, implementable plan, tailored to Colombia’s requirements to transition from ground-based technologies to an integrated CNS/ATM system. ISI has been evaluating the existing state of Colombia’s air traffic management system in cooperation with local government agencies, GREPECAS and the country’s national aviation requirements.
Morocco:
ISI’s CNS/ATM Transition Plan study for Morocco establishes a transition plan, assists in the revision of the national airspace navigation plan, establishes a strategic orientation to system modernization, advances critical technology decisions and provides expert knowledge of system modernization issues.
India:
ISI is producing a technical, economic and financial study that will enable the AAI to move further forward in implementing CNS/ATM.
Oman:
ISI is beginning a project to install a satellite test bed in Oman. This test bed is the first step in facilitating research, development, acquisition, and implementation of an operational air navigation system based on GNSS technology.
LACAC:
ISI is supporting American Airlines in a GNSS Implementation project for the LACAC in six South American countries: Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia and Colombia.
