Systems Engineering starts with initial system design and continues through detailed design and development to ensure that the engineering solution includes all of the requirements for the life cycle of the system. Systems engineers work with each of the engineering disciplines to ensure that a design is maintainable and meets the operational needs of the user.
On our GPSTAC contract, ISI uses top-down systems engineering to improve the efficiency and the capacity of the national and international air space. We develop new requirements for operational procedures based on improved satellite navigation performance and allocate these requirements to sub-system components.
ISI has helped its FAA partner become a certified level three system engineering organization according to the iCMM process by supporting and performing all aspects of systems engineering. Our support includes configuration management, specification development, and requirements validation. |
