Systems architecture and design essentially defines how an idea actually works. It encompasses describing the hardware, software, interfaces—both among system parts and between users and the system—and the data required to accomplish the tasks the system is intended to accomplish.
The best architecture and design is flexible enough to expand with its success and does not become obsolete before it is implemented. ISI personnel have the experience and foresight to understand the needs of tomorrow while working within the budgets of today to develop efficient and successful architectures that provide early benefits, but will stand the test of time.
On our GPSTAC contract and its predecessors, ISI personnel have supported the FAA satellite navigation initiatives for over 10 years and have been an integral part of systems architecture and design of the NSTB, WAAS, and LAAS.
On our GPRS contract, we are providing systems architecture and design for an evolving, worldwide, over-the-horizon tracking, tagging, locating/two-way messaging system. GPRS is designed to provide 24/7 communications and geo-location capability for highly mobile users in dynamic command environments such as natural disaster response and search-and-rescue operations. |
