ISI AWARDED SUBCONTRACT BY SAIC TO SUPPORT FAA’S NEXTGEN INITIATIVES
MCLEAN, VA., December 3, 2009 – Innovative Solutions International, Inc. (ISI) is pleased to announce it has been awarded a 5-year subcontract by SAIC to support the many safety related programs under the Associate Administration for Aviation Safety (AVS) and other FAA lines of business on the NextGen Initiatives Support Services contract. Under the subcontract, ISI will provide technical services in a broad range of task areas to support FAA safety goals, strategies and the safety related aspects of capacity and efficiency programs.
To secure America’s place as a global leader in aviation’s second century, NextGen strives for an air transportation system that supports a strong commercial capability, facilitates private-sector expansion, and creates jobs. The program aims at moving away from legacy ground-based technologies to a new and more dynamic satellite-based technology. These new capabilities and the interdependent technologies that support them will change the way the National Airspace System operates, reduce congestion, and improve the passenger experience.
