 Distress Alerting Satellite System (DASS): ISI provides support to NASA for the development and implementation of components, subsystems, spacecraft, free-flying spacecraft payloads, as well as ground support equipment and prototypes for DASS. DASS is a joint DoD/civilian initiative to upgrade the United States’ contribution to the worldwide, international COSPAS-SARSAT civil search and rescue service.
