Engineering Services encompasses a broad cascade of tasks, from fleshing out concepts of operations and designing system architectures; through feasibility studies and other analyses; ever-more detailed requirements, simulations, testing, and refining; to systems integration, quality assurance and technical training for the people who will eventually operate the system throughout its lifecycle.
ISI's aviation and satellite-based technology expertise drive our engineering services. Our staff includes both conceptual thinkers and field-hardened experience. ISI has been successful in applying our expertise to a wide range of tasks. To see examples of our experience, please click your choice in the menu to the left.
Engineering Support means having the right thing, at the right place, at the right time. As systems become more complex, engineering support or integrated logistics support has expanded to encompass the unified management of hardware, software, training, and maintenance resources.
On our GPSTAC contract, ISI has provided the full-range of integrated logistics support management, including:
- Technical Manual Development (including applying the instructional development methodologies of FAA-STD-028B)
- Provisioning and Spares Management (in accordance with FAA-D-2494/B)
- Installation Planning Review and Support, up to and including physically performing installations
In addition to experience in these three areas, ISI has demonstrated ability in supporting other physical engineering disciplines, such as functional configuration audits (FCA) and physical configuration audits (PCA) as outlined in MIL-STD-1521.
Our work with the FAA in integrated logistics has provided the model for similar efforts in other countries. ISI has facilitated these efforts with both consultations and direct support. |
