Acquisition Management

Acquisition management is a fully coordinated set of policies, processes, and tools that guide the workforce, both customers and contractors, through the lifecycle process—from the determination of mission needs to the procurement, management, and retirement or replacement of products and services that satisfy those needs. Acquisition management applies monitoring, analysis and measures of performance to the frequently long process of implementing large and complex systems.

On our GPSTAC contract, ISI has supported all aspects of acquisition management for the FAA. ISI’s acquisition management support includes:

  • Expanding EVM principles across WAAS and LAAS programs to assist in the achievement of the President’s management objective to move towards performance-based government practices.
  • Supporting the planning and development of acquisition strategy for the WAAS and LAAS programs
  • Developing documents in support of the FAA’s Acquisition Management System policy, including: business case studies and analysis, and integrated baseline reviews (IBR)
  • Using FAST to stay current on FAA acquisition policy.
  • Participating in FAA-training to stay current in supporting disciplines, such as Risk Management, OMB-300, iCMM, and Safety Management System (SMS).
