ISI Awarded Operational Validation of GPMS Project
MCLEAN, VA., Nov. 12, 2008 – Innovative Solutions International,
Inc. The Brazilian Aeronautical Commission has awarded the Continuation of
the Implementation Phase II of Brazil’s GNSS Performance
Monitoring System (GPMS) to Innovative Solutions International.
The GPMS provides countries with the ability to monitor, analyze, and
distribute aeronautical information pertaining to system performance
of GPS and other GNSS systems. GPMS technology represents real-time
performance monitoring and prediction capability and the capacity to
support safe operation of all satellite navigation systems authorized
to operate in the Brazilian National Airspace.
This phase enables an Operational Validation of the Research and
Development GPMS in a real world environment. Bob Loh, ISI’s President and
CEO, explains: “Through the operational validation, the end users
gain valuable familiarity with the GPMS now operating in Brazil, and
enable the Brazilian Air Force to finalize their operational requirements
to provide GNSS performance monitoring.” ISI has been working with
Brazil since 2000 to foster the implementation of GNSS.
